John Green: The Fault Within Our Stars

So I am not much of a reader, but when I heard about this book, I just had to read it. My aunt recommended it to me after reading it and crying at it. She also told me that she read in the paper a teenaged girl cried over it for 2 days after reading it! With my Aunt being a teacher, and her always recommending books to me, I figured this would be the one book I would actually try on her recommendation.

The trouble is with me is that I always start a book, find it hard to concentrate, and never get through to the end of the book. However as soon as I started this book I literally could not put it down. Many people say this just to compliment books, but I really couldn't! I finished this book in the space of less than 2 days! I am not going to spoil the book for you, but it is about a girl named Hazel, who attends a support group for cancer and meets a boy called Augustus. It is such a sweet, heartbreaking, sad book and I would recommend it to anyone of any age over 12, as it is quite a distressing and touching subject the story focuses on. Did I cry? Yes. I read this book whilst on holiday, and whilst reading near the end of the book on the beach I started to cry because I found it so moving and emotional! I had to stop myself from crying though, as other people on the beach were starting to stare at me and thought I was a bit strange crying on the beach at a book!

This is a must read, and even though it has been out for a while- still read it if you haven't already!

Have you read this book?
What did you think of it?
