Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation Review

During the summer, my dad went away for the weekend for his annual work party/awards evening/meal where they give him accommodation, activities to do e.t.c. When he went to the party he got given a goody bag containing some really nice freebies in there including a few beauty bits and pieces. Obviously my dad didn't want the beauty things so gave them to me and my mum. I thought today I would do a review on all three of these products which he gave to me. I believe my mum got a Clinique moisturiser and a bare minerals powder. I think she got the better option don't you? I still love these 3 things that I got though. These posts are quite long, (well a lot of text anyway)  so I think I will split these posts and do one review per post.

1. Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation

I wasn't to keen on this product when I first tried it out, however now that I have gotten used to it, I really like this product. I would say since it is a very low coverage, light foundation, it is meant more for the summer when you are prone to have less redness on your face, however for people with skin similar to mine, this is great all year round as I don't get very many spots. Even though the colour is a tad too pale for me, it can't be helped since they were given out as freebies so they would not have known my skin type or colour. The foundation goes onto the skin well, and I do really like the consistency of the product. I think that with a primer, this foundation could stay on all day. A thing that I do not like about this foundation is that it does not come with a pump, so you have to pour the foundation. This can be very messy and can waste a lot of product, especially early in the mornings when you are still half asleep! Another thing I personally do not like about this foundation is that it doesn't have a high enough coverage so that I can feel confident just wearing this. I know this does defeat the point of it being 'Nearly Naked' however I think I just prefer higher coverage foundations, as I have used quite a lot of product each day building this foundation up to the coverage that I want. Overall however, this product is great. I would recommend this foundation to people just starting out with makeup, or younger users of makeup as their skin is very delicate and so they do not need such a high coverage foundation.

No Pump.

The consistency.

OOTD: Hollister Crop Top

Blue Bandeau- Primark
Blue Crop Top- Hollister
High Waisted Shorts- Next
Sandals- New Look

I absolutely love this outfit and do you know the best thing? It is so cheap! The shorts were the most expensive, but they were my sisters so technically I didn't pay for them! The Bandeau I had to wear because the top was oh-so sheer, but it was only about £1/2. The top was an amazing deal! It was from hollister so it was obviously going to be over priced, but I bought it in the sale, and it was reduced from £39.99 to £8! I love the shoes in this outfit too, they were from Linzi, and I got them in the sale for £5 which is pretty amazing for how nice the shoes are! I wore this while I was in Kefalonia so I didn't wear any makeup as I wanted to maximise my tan as much as possible!

What I Got For My Birthday!

I know my birthday was over a month ago, but since I had already taken the photos, I thought it would be nice to show what I got for my birthday. I love to read what I got for christmas and birthday posts, so I thought I'd make one myself, as I can be quite a nosey parker sometimes! I mainly got money for my birthday as I didn't really ask for much, however this is all the other lovely things that I got. I will include some of these things in future posts hopefully.  I am so grateful for everything I got, and thank you to all my friends and family who got me something for my birthday!

The main present for my birthday was finally being allowed to get my ears pierced! I was so happy! I got them done at Claire's and they cost £45 for the piercing to be done and for the earrings... inconveniently not the ones in the picture above.
